South San Francisco Girl Missing Near Clear Lake

The girl was visiting a Lake County vacation home with her family.

Police and volunteers in Lake County are scouring the area around Highlands Harbor neighborhood in Clear Lake, searching for 9-year-old Mikaela Lynch.

Lynch, a South San Francisco resident was playing on a trampoline in the backyard of her family’s vacation home when she disappeared according to a report in the Press Democrat.

The 4-foot-tall, 70-pound girl is autistic and is non-verbal.  According to Lt. Tim Celli of the Clear Lake Police Department, Lynch has the mental capacity of a 1-year-old.

A police spokesperson told Patch that as of 5:45 p.m. Monday the girl had not been found.
