Possible Hostage Situation Evacuates Caltrain in SSF

A train was suddenly forced to stop in South San Francisco Monday afternoon for what passengers were told was a possible hostage situation.

At about 5 p.m., one passenger told South San Francisco Patch that the Caltrain was stopped on the tracks due to police action on the 22nd Street overpass.

Everyone on board was then evacuated after being told by the operator that there was SWAT team involvement with guns drawn.

Stay tuned as more details emerge.
