The Kaululehua Hawaiian Cultural Center was established in 1994 with the goal of educating the general public about theMore culture of Hawai'i. This education effort focuses on Hawaiian people, traditional customs, values and protocols. The center provides a resource center and library, which was introduced in 2006. It offers workshops classes devoted to Hawaiian traditions such as music, clothing, food and cooking, history, language and more. Various cultural events and annual celebrations take place at the center and all are encouraged to attend.

The City of South San Francisco Historical Society houses a collection of items from South San Francisco's past. All theMore items here have been donated, mostly by residents or people who worked here. On view are their collections of sports memorabilia, old city photos, home items, pieces from the banking industry, and beautiful old wedding gowns, shoes and hats. School groups come here on field trips, but it's a great place for every South City resident to visit at least once. The history is rich, and the photographs are priceless.
