This slimebag is simply suspended WITH PAY. I'm sure he will end up in Danberry minimum securityRead More prison for 2 years... then happily retire somewhere in San Francisco explaining at quiet tea parties how it was all a misunderstanding.

Wonder why Chow wasn't deported?
State Sen. Leland Yee was released from custody as reporters surrounded him..
Rebecca Lorenz March 31, 2014 at 08:46 am
Wow. I'm pretty sure most of us would lose our jobs or be suspended without pay if the FBI arrestedRead More us.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, the whole system is so corrupt, how did he get away with it forRead More 20years? San Mateo is the most corrupt County in California, I ought to know I was and still am a victim. Lawyer have a license to steal from their clients and then they become Judges. That's where it starts and then all the so called Public Servants cover up including the FBI,So I'm really surprised they arrested him. We keep telling other countries how to live, but if this is Democracy, What Country would go for it

You got that straight Therese. The whole system is broke and us poor slobs pay for all theRead More corruption. The need to seriously stop public unions, lobbyists and special interests from buying off politicians. No more personal gifts either. The tax payers end up getting screwed. I wrote Jerry Hill about it but I guess he's too busy to write back. Maybe you'll have better luck:Senator.Hill@senate.ca.gov
CBS News caught images of Yee being escorted into a federal courthouse on March 26, 2014 following his arrest on corruption charges.

yes but what is she doing now ? did she finish her rehab that she was doing ?
Nadja Adolf March 29, 2014 at 04:51 am
I don't think she was doing rehab, unless you call running for the district 10 senate seat a form ofRead More rehab. Meanwhile, with Yee out of the Secretary of State race, we could wind up with Alex Padilla. Padilla, of course, had a lobbyist illegally throw him a fundraiser and has refused to return the ill-gotten contributions. Padilla’s biggest claim to fame, however, is that he wants to pass a law allowing for the warrantless use of drones by law enforcement.

No worries PB ). Hey, can somebody get a copy of the constitution to Ann please ?
A Delargo March 2, 2014 at 09:00 am
If Sandra Day O'Conner made a decision on the court that she knowingly "did not uphold theRead More Constitution" then she has no business being in the Women's hall of fame, le alone the Court. This means she knowingly violated her oath to uphold the constitution when she made this decision. How vile is that ? I wonder how a retired male justice would be portrayed after admitting he knew one of his decisions was in violation of the Constitution when he delivered it ? He would be on America's most wanted TV show ! Please.

Both Senator Jerry Hill and State Assemblymember Kevin Mullin, so far, have been pretty good repsRead More for us, I think! I have not seen anything I have not liked, anyway...I have not closely followed their work, but I am beginning to!

South City is taking things seriously now with Liza Normandy as one of those at the helm, so that'sRead More at least a step in the right direction. Not everything is solved at once! I know the e-cigarettes is still an unknown to everyone...even doctors!

As I mentioned numerous times before, both the Police and District have known about various seriousRead More security issues around the schools since 2008--since the late Superintendent Cohen was in power. Mr. Hogan has been well aware of all the issues, for one, because I have told him repeatedly since he's been here for the last couple years, as has Mr. Sebers, who is in charge of all the student's general welfare. I guess what I am saying is, they have know about all this for a while now, so either the problem is too big for them, or they are too concerned with hiring lawyers to protect their District (and City) and nice paychecks, as they so frequently remind me of such. The Police have a detailed outline as well, as I am a squeaky wheel telling it what's what, and who's who in terms of crime in the City...all falling on deaf ears. Some attorney should do a massive class action suit therein, and get some justice for the parents and citizens of SSF!

Redwood City, no, but I do think that it is about time to consider a moratorium in the areas thatRead More can NOT support their own water needs.Examples: Mendocino and Southern California. With all the concern for our environment when will do the responsible thing and cease building where our environment can't support more people?Water conservation in farming needs some improvements ,too. Flooding fields as a watering technique is no longer viable nor reasonable.
Nancy Krosse January 19, 2014 at 02:13 pm
And Redwood City can support its own water needs? We need to stop the incessant building in thisRead More City.
Chris January 29, 2014 at 08:50 am
How about desalination plants? We'd have an inexhaustible supply of fresh water for the Bay Area andRead More not have to rely on rain and snowfall. Of course energy use is a concern, but with enough solar and wave electricity generation to offset grid electrical use it seems a viable option.
