Exactly! These people speed down the Mission RD like its a FREEWAY and don't stop in STATE marked…Read More crosswalks! You know who does stop? The truck drivers! The only ones that obey laws! We should make driving laws as strict as for driving a truck maybe people will obey the laws. And where are the PD? Get out of the donut shops and monitor the speed of these people! They will sneak around at 1:30 am and put a citation on your car for expired reg but not make the streets safe for all! Peds & Bikes go on the roads/Streets too! These drivers don't care they speed EVERY day I'm sick of it.
RIP the poor Senior who was killed...Senior someones, Mom or Grandma, Father or Grandfather won't be at the Thanksgiving table. :(
From the DMV Handbook:
STOP AT ALL CROSSWALKS WHERE PEDESTRIANS ARE WAITING!
DO NOT STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF A CROSSWALK.!
Do not Turn RIGHT without LOOKING FIRST!
I don't see any drivers doing any of the above! Except Commercial drivers!
Shame on all you drivers and Shame on the police busy giving parking tickets instead of monitoring crosswalks!
Yes I'm mad almost everyday I'm almost run over in a State marked crosswalk by some idiot in a hurry! Oh and more violators...BART police and Colma police and SSF police! If the police won't obey, why will the other drivers?

How about people need to slow down AND people need to stop jaywalking? Condolences to all involved.

It doesn't matter whose fault it is when a life is lost....feel bad for the victim's family; whether…Read More jaywalking or not, people have to slow down. I can't believe how people drive in South City streets as if they were highways, especially Spruce.

I just learned of Don's death when I tried to track him down. I was in the Army Veterinary Corps…Read More with Don 34 years ago at the Letterman Army Medical Center. Don was unforgettable - quick mind, quick athlete, and one of the funniest people I ever knew. We played basketball together at lunchtime, and he always made fun of my jump shot. I can still see his odd, rolling gait, and hear his non-stop trash talk on the court. I met Sylvia a few times, and they seemed like a great couple. I'm sorry that I did not try sooner to track down Don. I've often thought of him over the years, and it's hard to grasp that a spirit as energetic as Don's could be stilled so suddenly. It's a great sadness.

With Dr. Griffin you knew your beloved family member was in the best possible hands when he or she…Read More was in the doctor's care. You just knew you could trust him, you knew he was honest, and you knew he wasn't doing it just for the money. Dr. Griffin was truly empathic. A rare quality for any human being and especially for a doctor. He knew how much you loved your boy or girl and was right there with you. His practice never turned into one of those assembly line practices that seem to be everywhere else. When my girl became very sick there were distinct possibilities that I would have to see him with no prior notice; he just told me, "don't worry about it, if you have to bring her in just come on in, don't bother calling, just bring her in and I'll see her no problem". My girl passed away several years ago and I haven't seen the doc in quite a while. I just found out today that he passed away and I guess deep down inside I just thought he was going to be around forever. We truly lost a great one. Bye doc. We love you.

Somehow I missed the news about Dr. Griffin and just found out 2 hours after the memorial.
He was…Read More the vet for my dogs for 20yrs..after I got out of the biz. He was the only Vet I trusted.
I'm still in a state of shock over his passing. I'm hoping maybe we can get something together at Orange park park for him and maybe get a
