You couldn't do better than these upcoming local fundraisers.

South San Francisco is a city full of active people, and every weekend it seems like there's a pasta dinner or a crab feed to raise money for a worthy cause. Patch will try to keep you up to date with a weekly rundown of upcoming fundraisers and volunteer opportunities.

, Thursday, March 8.

Eat dinner at Red Robin in San Bruno between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., and 15 percent of the proceeds will go to fund South San Francisco High School's Grad Night. The only catch is you need to follow the link above, print the flier and show it to your server to qualify. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., 1274 El Camino Real, San Bruno.

, Friday, March 9.

El Camino band and choir students will perform and serve dinner at this annual fundraiser for the music program. The evening starts at 6:00 p.m. at , 1320 Mission Road in the school cafeteria. Tickets are $20 each and must be reserved by today.

, Friday, March 9.

This fundraiser for programs that support women and girls will include a silent auction, music, exhibitors, food, drinks, games and more. From 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 33 Arroyo Dr, South San Francisco. $20 adult tickets can be purchased at the door.

, Sunday, March 11.

A celebration dinner featuring corned beef, cabbage and an entertainment portion of the evening will raise money for SSFPD Survivor Benefit Fund. The evening starts at 5 p.m. at the , 255 South Airport Boulevard, South San Francisco. $30 per person donations can be made to the SSFPD Survivor Benefit Fund, Tax ID # 94-2414766.

, Thursday, March 15.

This awards dinner honors people and organizations that have made a contribution to sustainability in San Mateo County and raises money to support Sustainable San Mateo County. 5:30 p.m. at 255 S Airport Blvd, South San Francisco. Tickets are $100 each.

, Sunday, March 18.

All proceeds from this breakfast buffet benefit will go to help the family of Juliana Peña, a 2-year-old South San Francisco girl who recently died of cancer, pay medical bills and start a foundation to fight neuroblastoma. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 920 Stonegate Drive. The cost is $10 per person; there will also be raffles and a silent auction.

, Friday, March 23.

A raffle, silent auction and dinner by Frank's Texas BBQ make up this annual event, and this year, the Mike Callero Inspirational Award will be given out. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. at 33 Arroyo Dr, South San Francisco. Tickets are $40 and on sale at .

, Friday, March 23.

Sway to cool jazz by the Dave Miller trio at this annual fundraiser for the South San Francisco Community Outreach Program. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the program begins at 8 p.m at Centennial Towers, 1200 Airport Boulevard. Tickets are $35 per person or $60 per couple, and reservations are required by March 19. 

, Friday, March 30.

This fundraiser features a live band and food. Starting at 5 p.m. at 33 Arroyo Drive. Tickets are $40 per person.

, Friday, April 13.

This dinner dance, supported by the Foundation for Youth, will raise money for public schools in the South San Francisco Unified School District. The evening will also include a silent auction, a live auction and awards. From at 6 p.m. to midnight at the South San Francisco Conference Center, 255 South Airport Boulevard. Tickets are $45.

I'm amazed by how long this list is. I don't know if March is a particularly busy month or SSF is just incredibly well-organized with fundraisers.
