Local volunteers assembled boxes of toys and food for local families.

Volunteers came from all over the city to pack food baskets at the South San Francisco Fire Department Saturday morning.

365 food baskets were given out this year along with roughly 200 presents for families as far as Redwood City.

The program was started by Louis Guaraldi in 1961, when he used to give away bags of food for the holidays. In 1976 it transferred to the YMI, which is the second oldest Catholic men's club in the United States.
