South San Francisco is a city full of active people, and every weekend it seems like there's a pasta dinner or a crab feed to raise money for a worthy cause. Patch will try to keep you up to date with a weekly rundown of upcoming fundraisers and volunteer opportunities.

, Friday, March 23.

A raffle, silent auction and dinner by Frank's Texas BBQ make up this annual event, and this year, the Mike Callero Inspirational Award will be given out. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. at 33 Arroyo Dr, South San Francisco. Tickets are $40 and on sale at .

, Friday, March 23.

Sway to cool jazz by the Dave Miller trio at this annual fundraiser for the South San Francisco Community Outreach Program. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the program begins at 8 p.m at Centennial Towers, 1200 Airport Boulevard. Tickets are $35 per person or $60 per couple, and reservations are required by March 19. 

, Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24.

Help remove non-native and invasive plant species on San Bruno Mountain, a task made easier by the recent rains. Gloves are provided by the friendly folks at San Bruno Mountain Watch, but be sure to wear long pants and sturdy shoes. Meet at 9 a.m. behind the Mills Montessori School at 1400 Hillside Boulevard. 

, Saturday, March 24.

Play 18 holes of golf, win prizes, have dinner and bid in an auction to raise money for the South City Warrior Band. This all-day event takes place at the Sharp Park Golf Course, Sharp Park Road, Pacifica. Cost is $150.

, Friday, March 30.

With dinner provided by The Fish Market of San Mateo, a silent auction and a raffle, organizers hope to raise money for graduation activities for this year's eighth grade class at . The dinner is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Alta Loma's Ram Hall, and tickets are $9 for adults and $4 for kids in advance ($10 and $5 at the door). Advance tickets may be purchased by returning the form found after the link above by March 16.

, Friday, March 30.

This fundraiser features a live band and food. Starting at 5 p.m. at 33 Arroyo Drive. Tickets are $40 per person.

, Friday, April 13.

This dinner dance, supported by the Foundation for Youth, will raise money for public schools in the South San Francisco Unified School District. The evening will also include a silent auction, a live auction and awards. From at 6 p.m. to midnight at the South San Francisco Conference Center, 255 South Airport Boulevard. Tickets are $45.

, Friday, April 20.

This dinner dance will raise money for the South City Fog Baseball Team. The dance starts at 6:30 at the South San Francisco Elks Lodge, 920 Stonegate Drive. Tickets are $40 each, and it's requested that you order by April 2 using the order form available after the link above.

, Monday, May 7.

Listen to Lori Goler, Facebook's Vice President of People, speak at this annual fundraiser for the Housing Endowment and Regional Trust of San Mateo County. From 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the South San Francisco Conference Center, 255 South Airport Boulevard. $50 per person.

, Saturday, May 19.

Help clean up a trash hot spot for National River Cleanup Day and prevent garbarge from flowing into the San Francisco Bay. Meet at Utah Ave & Harbor Way at 9 a.m. and bring sunscreen, water and a snack. Long pants and close-toed shoes are recommended.
