South San Francisco is a busy city, and every week there's a chance to get involved.

South San Francisco is a city full of active people, and every weekend it seems like there's a pasta dinner or a crab feed to raise money for a worthy cause. Patch will try to keep you up to date with a weekly rundown of local fundraisers and volunteer opportunities.

The rally is your chance to get a sneak peek into the American Cancer Society Relay for Life event scheduled for South City in June. Light refreshments will be served. From 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at , 740 Del Monte Ave, South San Francisco. FREE.

This fundraiser for programs that support women and girls will include a silent auction, music, exhibitors, food, drinks, games and more. From 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 33 Arroyo Dr, South San Francisco. $20 adult tickets can be purchased at the door.

, Sunday, March 11.

A celebration dinner featuring corned beef, cabbage and an entertainment portion of the evening will raise money for SSFPD Survivor Benefit Fund. The evening starts at 5 p.m. at the , 255 South Airport Boulevard, South San Francisco. $30 per person donations can be made to the SSFPD Survivor Benefit Fund, Tax ID # 94-2414766.

This awards dinner honors people and organizations that have made a contribution to sustainability in San Mateo County and raises money to support Sustainable San Mateo County. 5:30 p.m. at 255 S Airport Blvd, South San Francisco. Tickets are $100 each.

A raffle, silent auction and dinner by Frank's Texas BBQ make up this annual event, and this year, the Mike Callero Inspirational Award will be given out. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. at 33 Arroyo Dr, South San Francisco. Tickets are $40 and on sale at .
