How Are Your Mourning the 49ers Loss?

San Francisco fans had their Super Bowl dreams dashed Sunday when the 49ers lost to the New York Giants.

With the "S" and "F" still burning red on Sign Hill in our memories, it was a bitter loss Sunday when the 49ers fell to the New York Giants.

The shock is fading; now it's time to vent. How did you react when the Niners lost the game? What are you doing to get over your disappointment?

Leave your raw reaction in the comments below.

Didn't mean to imply they were back up--though I haven't seen the sign in the past few days. I said they were still burning "in our memories!" You expected it, Chris? No hope against hope?

I'm bummed, but not as bummed as I thought I'd be. The Niners had such an unexpectedly fantastic season-- especially after years of disappointment-- that I'm very optimistic that they'll be back in the playoffs next year with an even better team.

Apparently some 49ers "fans" were a little more than "bummed out" as Kyle Williams has received death threats via twitter. Unbelievable classless. Is this Philadelphia now? The Niners played great and will be back, for sure, but they desperately need a couple decent wide outs. Michael Crabtree is an okay #3 or slot receiver but he couldn't get open on my grandmother yesterday. Webster completely shut him down. You don't win games going 1 for 13 on 3rd downs and you can't consistently pick up 1st downs without receivers. You shouldn't blame Williams. The muffed ball was inexcusable but the fumble was just the guy trying to make a big play because he knew his offense was shut down by the Giants defense all day save for two plays to Davis. Bottom line is the Giants played better. Eli took a beating and still kept at it and made the plays he needed to. On to the Superbowl. Go Giants!!!

No, not mourning anymore, but believe it or not, my family's all on Sign Hill as we speak. I'm on the H ontop, my kids are sliding down other letters, and my dog is relaxing. Just park on Poplar, trek up. If a 250 lbs, 40 year old can do it easily, so can you!
