Do You Believe in the Baseball Gods?

It's do-or-die for the Giants tonight, and you just know it will come down to another torturous pitch-by-pitch-on-your-feet-clutching-your-orange-pom-pom wild finish---and hopefully just a warm up for Monday night.

A young catcher recovering from a traumatic injury, a closer knocked out for the season on day one, a power hitter benched for doping, a nemesis throwing the wads of money in a late grasp for glory--yet, here are our Giants, just two games away from the World Series. And the only thing standing in their way is a team that has overcome its own challenges

As sports columnist Monte Poole says in his column in today's San Jose Mercury News, "It has to be this way and it must be this way. Justice demands it."

Poole says if there were a series during which both teams have faith until the very last possible game, it is this National League Championship Series. (NLCS).

What do you think it will take for the Giants to get to Game 7?

As another Merc columnist, Daniel Brown, put it, it's "Vogie and Cain and pray for champagne."

Mercury-News sportswriter Daniel Brown is a San Carlos resident, FYI.

Go Giants! Awesome win Sunday night! Where fun to watch for game 7 if not rained out?

That's a great question Coy----thanks for the story idea! I'll post the question Monday morning. Here's to hoping the rain stops soon! GO GIANTS!
