Join Us On a Free Bus Tour Along the Grand Boulevard

Join us for a bus tour along the Grand Boulevard to end San Mateo County's Affordable Housing Week 2012.

San Mateo County's Affordable Housing Week is now underway, including the Healthy Communities Forum last night at the Municipal Services Building.

Also taking place in South San Francisco during Affordable Housing Week is a bus tour of communities along the Grand Boulevard on Saturday, May 12. Ever wonder what affordable housing really looks like, or what it takes to construct a Habitat for Humanity home? This tour will show you!

Greenbelt Alliance in partnership with Peninsula Interfaith Action (PIA), the Grand Boulevard Initiative, SamTrans, and the host of Affordable Housing Week, the Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo County, has organized a bus tour along the Grand Boulevard from 8:30am - 1:30pm.

The Grand Boulevard Initiative is a collaboration between 19 cities, local and regional agencies, and San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties dedicated to the revitalization of the El Camino Real corridor—or, the Grand Boulevard.

Meet at Daly City BART parking lot to hop on our private bus for a tour along the Grand Boulevard that will take us from Daly City to South San Francisco:

  • Daly City Top of the Hill transit plaza and streetscape improvements
  • Daly City War Memorial Community Center
  • Habitat for Humanity Affordable Housing Development - Hard Hat Tour
  • Trestle Glen Apartments - Unincorporated San Mateo County
  • MidPen Housing Affordable Housing Development in South San Francisco - Hard Hat Tour

More information and registration can be found here.

Every year I buy more school supplies and art supplies for the teachers and they know they canRead More always count on me for more whenever needed. I'm a strong believer in encouraging children to be creative and get rid of the barriers to the freedom of self expression.

We help by asking teachers if they need anything. They'll drop hints and we'll go and purchase theRead More products. Most, if not all, parents are willing to help their children's classes if they are able to. It's really unfair for the teachers to purchase supplies out of their own pockets.
