Students who send out at least 15 donation request emails and raises at least $100 will be rewarded with a group trip to the Daly City Bowling Center. As of Friday, the donor website showed $7,006 raised, or 14% of the overall goal.

Students who had raised the most money were also listed on the site, with students Nico Price and Marisa Young in the top spots. Price included improvements to the school basketball court among his incentives for raising funds.

"As some of you may already know, at 12 years old and in 8th grade, even though I'm not as big, tall, and strong as most of my classmates, I am still a sports phenatic," reads the letter on his fundraising page."With this Bowling Invitational at Westborough Middle School, I'm given the opportunity to bowl with my classmates....Please help support me and my school in this very special event which will serve as a tool to provide the much-needed funding for a quality education."

One of the aims of the fundraiser is to eliminate smaller efforts throughout the year that are time-consuming for teachers, administrators and parents, and consolidate fundraising into one big push.
