VIDEO: El Camino Cheer Team Tosses and Flips its Way to National Tournament

The varsity cheerleaders have been working hard to raise money for their trip to a national tournament in Anaheim.

El Camino's Varsity Cheer Team has been on a busy schedule of practices and fundraising to gear up for its upcoming trip to Anaheim for a national competition on the weekend of March 25.

This month alone, the 11 girls on the squad--all seniors--held a car wash and worked at the Elks Lodge crab feed to raise money for their trip. They've also operated a snack table at the El Camino bingo games for more than five years. Donations from the Elks as well as from the San Mateo Credit Union and the South San Francisco Foundation for Youth have helped them meet their goals.

See the cheerleaders practice their routines and talk about what the sport means to them.
