South City Kid's Doodle on Google Homepage Today

Second-grader Matteo Lopez won a nationwide contest and appeared on the Today Show today.

You don't have to Google to find work from this talented young artist--all you have to do is go to Google's homepage today.

The Monte Verde second-grader , beating out 107,000 other contestants to get his outer-space themed version of the Google logo featured on Google.com for a day.

The South San Francisco native also won a $15,000 college scholarship and a $25,000 technology grant for his school. His piece will be shown in the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City and in SFMOMA, starting today.
