Schools

Question of the Week: What Can Schools Do With a Thousand Dollars?

Wells Fargo has given some local schools $1,000 grants.

Wells Fargo Bank has given $1,000 grants to 165 local schools, including , and in South San Francisco.

Though $1,000 is a relatively small amount given these schools' overall needs, it is free money, and it's fun to play banker.  Martin principal Rona Jawetz told me she doesn't yet know how Martin will use the money, but that doesn't mean we can't weigh in.

Wells Fargo has suggested the money be used for needs like books and supplies, but let's let our imaginations run free.  A new garden?  Segways for the security staff?  How do you think local schools should spend the money?
