Public Meeting Today Will Focus on Supe Search

Community members will be able to express feedback on the superintendent hunt to search firm Leadership Associates.

Representatives from superintendent search firm will from 3 to 7 p.m. today in the office board room.

Community members will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the search and the qualities they would like to see in the district's next superintendent. Former Superintendent Howard Cohen and the district hopes to have a new superintendent in place by July 1. 

Leadership Associates has already collected applications for the position, and board members will have their first chance to review those applications at a closed meeting on Wednesday.

Leadership Associates on the superintendent search at Ponderosa Elementary School at the beginning of April. Several community members commented on the Patch story about that meeting that it had not been well publicized to the community. Today's meeting is another chance to express opinions and concerns.
