Dear Los Cerritos Parents/Guardians:

I would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your child(ren) to the new 2012-2013 school year! My name is Kennelyn Celeste and I am your new principal. I am honored and privileged to have been selected to serve your community.

This is my third year as a principal but my fifth year working as a school administrator. I have worked as an Assistant Principal, an English Language Learner Resource Specialist, and as a Kindergarten, First, Fifth and Eighth Grade Teacher. It is my passion watching children learn as well as leading and supporting staff and parents to ensure students’ academic success!

I welcome your questions, comments, concerns and ideas on how to make Los Cerritos the best place for your child to learn and thrive. There are various ways to communicate with me:

1) Telephone: 650.877.8841

2) Email: kceleste@ssfusd.org

3) Communication with the Principal: this form must be filled out in person in the office.

The staff and I are looking forward to continue to provide an exciting and rewarding educational program for each and every child. I am excited to be at Los Cerritos and I look forward to working collaboratively with you!

Respectfully,

Kennelyn Celeste

Every year I buy more school supplies and art supplies for the teachers and they know they canRead More always count on me for more whenever needed. I'm a strong believer in encouraging children to be creative and get rid of the barriers to the freedom of self expression.

We help by asking teachers if they need anything. They'll drop hints and we'll go and purchase theRead More products. Most, if not all, parents are willing to help their children's classes if they are able to. It's really unfair for the teachers to purchase supplies out of their own pockets.
