Project Read Presents Help for Hard Times

 

These financial times are hard for many people. Credit card debt, foreclosures, unemployment and other economic maladies are on the rise. Project Read North San Mateo County is stepping up to the plate by offering Help for Hard Times, a presentation of available community services. This event will feature a panel of experts from agencies that provide economic services and education for the communities of  North San Mateo County. Representatives from the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County, Hip Housing, Sparkpoint of Skyline College, Community Financial Resources, Consumer Credit Counseling of San Francisco and others will speak about the services they offer. Well known financial educator and consultant, Saundra Davis, MSFP, of Sage Financial Solutions, will be the keynote speaker. Project Read and its financial education team will also offer a preview of their upcoming and free financial management training series scheduled for this fall at the John Daly Library.

Help for Hard Times will be held this Saturday, October 8th, at the John Daly Library, 134 Hillside Boulevard, Daly City from 10 to 12 noon.  Admission is free to the public. For more information, contact Project Read at (650) 829-3871 or email cordova@plsinfo.org.
