Culinary Boot Camp San Francisco

Parties That Cook is proud to announce its “Culinary Boot Camp Series” !

The series will be taught by Parties That Cook Executive chef, Tanya Rogow. Tanya has been cooking and teaching professionally for 10+ years. During her stint at the Food Network, she worked with and learned from chefs such as Wolfgang Puck, Bobby Flay and Emeril Lagasse. Her restaurant training is attributed primarily to Mitchell and Steven Rosenthal (of Town Hall fame) at Postrio restaurant.

The series will include the following four classes from 6:30-9:30pm. Classes can be purchased separately as well.

Basic Knife Skills & Hands-On Cooking (March 15th)
At this exciting interactive cooking class, guests will learn how to hold a knife, master all of the basic knife cuts, and enjoy a lively introductory cooking lesson. Students will then apply these hands-on skills, working in small groups to prepare the evening's tantalizing menu.

Elements of Seasoning (March 22nd)
Guests will learn how to properly season food, learn classic taste profiles and enjoy a lively introductory cooking lesson. Students will then apply these new skills as they work hands-on in small groups to prepare the evening's tantalizing menu of international small plates.

Basic Cooking Technique (March 29th)
At this exciting interactive cooking class, guests will learn what it means to sauté, grill, fry, pan sear, bake and braise. Students will then apply these skills hands-on, working in small groups to prepare the evening's mouthwatering Chef's Table menu.

Classic Sauce Making (April 5th)
This interactive cooking class will round out the series by bringing all of your new found cooking techniques together, plus adding the variations of the “Mother” sauces to your repertoire. Students will learn the technique for basic pan sauces, tomato sauce, reduction sauce and dessert sauce. Guests will then apply these skills hands-on while working in teams to prepare the evening's mouthwatering menu.

Parties That Cook designs fresh seasonal menus for each event. Guests do not need cooking experience to attend. The price of admission includes cooking instruction by professional chefs, recipes using the finest, freshest ingredients, hardcopies of the recipes for taking notes, electronic event photos, and the camaraderie of cooking with new friends! Water and sodas will be provided. If you'd like to enjoy wine during the class, please bring a bottle to share.
