The South San Francisco Unified School District has announced it will hold a community forum Oct. 11 focusing on plans involving funds.
According to the District: "This is an excellent opportunity for members of the community to understand and express their opinions on the current plans for Bond funds to be used on school and athletic field improvements."
District staff are currently working to draft a master plan for major improvement projects at South City schools, including sports fields, classroom facilities, buildings and playgrounds. A draft of the plan will be presented at the meeting on Oct. 11.
This summer, the Phase I of Measure J projects, which in SSFUSD schools, were completed. The district hopes to break ground on Phase II next summer.
Unlike most South City school board meetings, the community forum in October will be televised, beginning at 6 p.m.
It will be held at Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, at 33 Arroyo Drive. Spanish language translation will be provided, and 3-minute allowances for any attendee who would like to speak.
