Comcast to Sponsor Beautification Day at Buri Buri

About 40 Comcast employees will work alongside family volunteers to clean up and improve the campus.

On Saturday, April 21, Comcast employees will work alongside parents and students to beautify the elementary school campus.

Approximately 40 Comcast employees will participate in the event, according to Buri Buri Principal Jay Spaulding. Buri Buri was one of 17 California schools chosen this year for the company's annual Comcast Cares Day, Spaulding said.

Past Comcast Cares Days have involved cleaning up public parks, schools and planting gardens, according to the company's website.

About 60 parent volunteers along with students will help out, according to Spaulding.

"I think it's a great thing for the community and for Buri Buri, and also for building relationships with outside organizations," Spaulding said.

We help by asking teachers if they need anything. They'll drop hints and we'll go and purchase theRead More products. Most, if not all, parents are willing to help their children's classes if they are able to. It's really unfair for the teachers to purchase supplies out of their own pockets.
