All Souls Catholic School's First Preschool Program Now Open

The school is a week into its first school year for children ages 3 to 5 and is currently taking applications.

A handful of tots scrambled up the brand new playground facility at All Souls Catholic School on Miller Ave. in South San Francisco yesterday.

On Monday, All Souls opened its first preschool program and is currently taking applications via open enrollment.

"It's a play-based pre-school," said Director Rosemary Omron. "There's also an academic part of the day," but the kids learn through playing and peer interaction, she said.

Omron is from Foster City and has taught kindergarten for 4 years, as well as 4th grade. She said this first week with only 7 kids has been a good way to transition into the new programs.

The pre-school's teacher is Marcella Elmor, and once enrollment increases, All Souls may hire additional teachers.

The pre-school will take a total of 24 students at one time.

Along with installing the new playground, All Souls converted an after-school modular unit into a space for the preschool programs.

The after-school music classes for older grade students that used to take place in the space have been moved to another location on campus.

Tuition: 3 days 8AM-3PM  Monday, Wednesday, Friday is $675/month;
5 days is $775/month; 5 days 8AM-12:00PM is $500/month.For a complete list of the various program schedules, and to apply to enroll a child, click here.
