Former Westborough Water Board Director Robert Craig was commended by the South San Francisco City Council Wednesday with a proclamation for his nearly 30 years of service.

As a director, Craig was instrumental in the success of the water board and also served as representative to the district for the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency and the San Mateo County districts.

"Bob is an institution," said councilmember Karyl Matsumoto. "This man has given so many years of service."
