The Week Ahead: Council Votes on Labor Contracts

The city council and school board meet this week, among other stories coming up.

South City is busy, busy, busy as the school year winds to a close. We’re going to do lots of special things on Patch to congratulate this year’s graduates, but before the festivities start next week, we’ve got some business to attend to.

On Tuesday, Mayor Kevin Mullin will give his to the business community. at a city council meeting, but this speech will be targeted to business concerns and is hosted by the .

At , the council will vote on labor agreements with the firefighters, Teamsters and police officers, among other items.

Also on Wednesday, the school district will hold its annual Golden Apple Awards and retirement ceremony, where it recognizes teachers and staff who’ve made valuable contributions to city’s schools.
