Public Meeting Set for Hwy. 101 Ramp Project

Construction on the U.S. 101 Ramp Improvement Project will start later this year near South San Francisco.

A long-planned U.S. 101 Ramp Improvements Project is about to get under way and commuters may be affected.

To help explain the project details and what to expect when construction starts later this year, the City of South San Francisco is hosting a public outreach information meeting next week. The meeting is set for 10 a.m. to noon, Friday, Aug. 30 at the South San Francisco Conference Center, 255 S. Airport Blvd., Baden Room A. Admission is free and open to the public.

The project is designed to enhance traffic flow on the freeway in order to accommodate future growth in the east of 101 business sector. Construction is planned for these Highway 101 ramps:

  • U.S. 101 Northbound off-ramp/South Airport Boulevard/Utah Avenue
  • Grand Avenue/East Grand Avenue/U.S. 101 Northbound off-ramp to East Grand Avenue/Executive Drive
  • Oyster Point Boulevard/Route 101 North on-ramp
  • Restriping at Dubuque Avenue/Oyster Point Boulevard/Northbound 101 off-ramp
