The new downtown parking garage opened to the public today and will offer free parking until the end of June. The garage, on Miller Avenue between Linden and Maple, has 254 parking spaces and four charging stations for electric vehicles, and was built at a cost of $8.4 million.

Can you give an address so we can locate this garage with ease?

The entrance is on Miller between Linden and Maple.

This is all well and good. However, WHY was all the street parking on the other side of the street from the garage 'removed' by painting the curbs red??? Now the residents of those homes, nearby apartments, and their visitors cannot even park in front of their own homes!!! Is this another backdoor attempt to FORCE residents into paying to park in this new, expensive structure??? Supposedly there was a current need for this structure, without having to strong-arm people into using it!!! AGAIN, the Planning Commission OVERLOOKS the NEEDS OF THE CURRENT POPULACE!!!

Good question. I'm planning on attending the Planning meeting on Thursday, so I'll ask them then.
