Former South San Francisco Mayor Leo Padreddii Dead at Age 83

The former mayor had been hospitalized recently.

Leo Padreddii, former mayor of South San Francisco and until his death, a San Mateo County Harbor Commissioner, died on Wednesday according to a report in The Daily Journal

Paddreddii was appointed to the Harbor Commission in 1997.  He was elected in 1998 and was re-elected each time he ran, most recently in November 2012. 

In September, Padreddii told Patch this would be his last term on the commission.

Padreddii also spent 32 years in law enforcement, nine years on the South San Francisco School Board and the San Mateo County Fair Board.
