Ferry Service To Start This Summer. Excited?

Do you think the ferry service will be an important addition to South San Francisco's transportation infrastructure?

Starting on June 4, passengers will be able to ride a ferry between South San Francisco and the East Bay for a $7 one-way fare, the Examiner reports. 

This long-awaited ferry will bring a new transportation option to the  and will connect passengers to Oakland's Jack London Square and Alameda. Harbor District Commissioner and South San Francisco resident Robert Bernardo for the environment and for emergency preparedness.

The ferry will run Monday through Friday during commute times, and free parking will be available near the ferry terminals. The Oyster Point ferries will be met by free shuttles from Genentech and the Peninsula Congestion Relief Alliance, according to the Bay Area Water Emergency Transportation Authority.
