Everything You Need to Know About the May 3 Election

Six candidates are competing for one seat on the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors.

This is a special election season. You can only vote by mail in the county supervisor race. 

Why is this election special? 

Last November, votes selected Mark Church as San Mateo County Elections Officer, vacating a position on the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors for the District 1 spot.  This month, San Mateo County residents decide who will fill his role. Voters can only vote by mail.

How to vote by mail

The County Elections office needs to get your ballot by 8 p.m. on Election Day. The elections office address is 40 Tower Road, San Mateo, CA 94402
