South San Francisco City Council

The five-member City Council is elected by residents of South San Francisco. The council is responsible for setting policy, passing rules and ordinances and establishing the city's budget.

The mayor is named from among the five council members and does not hold greater sway than the rest.

The City Council meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
