Community Workshop #2 Climate Action Plan and Pedestrian Master Plan

The City of South San Francisco will hold the second in a series of community workshops on Sunday May 6, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The workshop is an opportunity for the public to learn more about the City’s Climate Action Plan and Pedestrian Master Plan. Community input on the plans is needed. The City will be gathering feedback during the Streets Alive! Parks Alive! event at a “mobile workshop booth” in Orange Park in South San Francisco.

The public will have an opportunity to share information about where they walk in South San Francisco, how to improve pedestrian safety, and ways to conserve energy and resources. The City is conducting walking audits during the week of the Streets Alive! Parks Alive! event, including a walk audit on May 6. Stop by our booth to learn more about the walk audits.

About the Pedestrian Master Plan The Pedestrian Master Plan (PMP) will promote a pedestrian-friendly environment where public spaces, including streets and off-street paths, will offer a level of convenience, safety, and attractiveness to pedestrians that will encourage and reward the choice to walk.
