Woman's Engagement Ring Stolen on Airport Boulevard in Strong-Arm Robbery

A woman had her engagement ring stolen in a strong-arm robbery in South San Francisco on Friday morning, police said.

The robbery was reported at about 8:45 a.m. Friday in the pedestrian tunnel in the unit block of Airport Boulevard, according to police.

The 24-year-old victim was walking through the tunnel when she was approached by two men wearing hooded sweatshirts, police said.

The two suspects cornered the woman and demanded that she give them money. When she said she did not have any, one of the suspects grabbed her left arm and the other removed her engagement ring, according to police.

The suspects then pushed the victim against the wall of the overpass and were last seen walking toward Baden Avenue, police said.

The victim was not injured during the robbery.

One of the suspects is described as a black man in his 20s who is between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall, had a short goatee, and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a dark colored beanie, and dark jeans.

The other suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his 20s who is between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans, police said.
