Suspected Drunk Driver Runs Over Residential Lawn in South San Francisco

The man was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

By Bay City News Service:

A 21-year-old man damaged the lawn of a home in South San Francisco while allegedly driving under the influence on Saturday night, police said.

Jacob Dineen, a South San Francisco resident, lost control of his car shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Avalon Drive, causing it to careen over the lawn, police said.

Dineen then drove away, according to witnesses. Police found him at his home, close to the scene of the accident.

The lawn sustained moderate damage, according to police. Police arrested Dineen on suspicion of hit-and-run and DUI.

He was then released to First Chance North, a jail alternative for people who have been cited for driving under the influence.
