South San Francisco Police Log: Suspicious Jar, Dog Pooping on Lawn and Screaming Kids at Church

 1:15 a.m.:  The suspicious vehicle with six passengers who had inquired about a room at a hotel on South Airport Blvd. was gone when officers arrived.  The hotel didn’t have nay rooms.

1:18 a.m.: Officers opened an investigation into the smashing of a window on a minivan parked on Shamrock Court.

1:22 a.m.: Officers spoke to a guest at a hotel on Alida Way who’s TV was a little too loud.  The guest agreed to turn down the volume.

7:07 a.m.: The jar filled with a suspicious liquid spotted on S Airport Boulevard was gone when officers arrived to investigate.

7:24 a.m.: Officers were asked to speak to the owner of a car that parked far from the curb on Northwood Drive.  The car was gone when officers arrived.

7:58 a.m.: There was a shopping cart left on Miller Avenue.

9:07 a.m.: There was a false alarm at a store on El Camino Real.

10:01 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to Park Way where two people were arguing.   Apparently one of the people was walking a dog that pooped on the other person’s lawn.

1:00 p.m.: Officers were asked to see that the three kids playing at Alta Loma School leave school grounds.  It was suspected that they were causing the silent alarm to go off.

2:44 p.m.: The dog spotted wandering in a parking lot on El Camino Real was gone when officers arrived.

3:25 p.m.: After speaking to officers, a resident on Willow agreed to turn down the music.

3:37 p.m.  Officers were dispatched to Frist Lane where a fight was reportedly breaking out.

4:12 p.m.: Police received a report of screaming kids at a church on Alta Vista Drive.  Officers found nothing suspicious on arrival.

5:54 p.m.: Officers were unable to locate the car driving 15 mph under the speed limit on Westborough. 

6:13 p.m.: The guy who was standing in traffic, yelling at cars near McLellan Drive and Mission Road was gone when officers arrived.

6:31 p.m.: Officers arrested a person with an outstanding warrant.

8:00 p.m.: The suspicious vehicle circling a Cuesta Drive neighborhood was gone when officers arrived to investigate.

8:23 p.m.: Police received a report of a charter bus driver punching a man. 

10:09 p.m.: The woman causing a scene at Gellert and Westborough was gone when officers arrived to investigate.

10:21 p.m.: The host of a loud party on Randolph agreed to turn down the volume after speaking to officers.

10:35 p.m.: Eggs were thrown at a person walking on Country Club.  The eggs were thrown from a truck that was gone when officers arrived on the scene.

11:04 p.m.: Officers spoke to two men who were having a disagreement of some kind at a business on Grand Avenue.  Apparently one man threw a bowl of soup on the other man.

11:30 p.m.: The two guys involved in a fight on Holly Avenue were gone when officers arrived on the scene.

Throughout the Day:  Officers responded to numerous calls relating to suspicious vehicles, alarms going off , animal issues and people engaged in suspicious activitities.

Editor’s Note:  Sometimes you might find items in the police log that seem humorous but please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
