South San Francisco Police Log: Drunk Drivers Arrested a Barking Dog and a Drug Arrest

1:52 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a South Spruce Avenue business.

1:56 a.m.: The barking dog in the vicinity of Granada Drive and Alhambra Avenue quit barking before officers arrived.

2:43 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a home on Rocca Avenue where someone was banging on the door.  Officers checked the house and found only the people who belonged there.

2:52 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a school on Wexford Avenue.

3:30 a.m.: Police received a report of a woman stealing a tool from a truck.  The woman was gone when officers arrived.

5:08 a.m.: Officers checked on the guy who’d been sleeping in his car for two hours while the engine was running.  He was alive.

8:18 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at an El Camino Real business.

10:43 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a restaurant on Grand Avenue where a customer had lost their phone and  was making a scene.

12:30 p.m.: Police provided traffic control while the fire department extinguished a car fire.

3:07 p.m.: Police received a report of an unlicensed ice cream seller selling ice cream on Park Way.

6:29 p.m.: Officers arrested an alleged drunk driver at the Burger King on El Camino Real.

10:37 p.m.: Officers made a narcotics related arrest at the Travelodge Hotel on South Airport Blvd.

11:00 p.m.: The guy who hopped the curb and was spinning doughnuts at Alta Loma Park was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Editor’s Note:  Sometimes you might find items in the police log that seem humorous but please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
