South San Francisco Police Log: Drunk Driver Turned in by Husband, Loud Kids and Mean dogs

 12:00 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the vicinity of Orrey Way and Shannon Drive where a group of kids was talking loudly.

12:31 p.m.: Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on Highcrest Lane.  The car had two people inside.

1:01 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a business on Gellert Boulevard.

1:28 p.m.: The hosts of a party on Myrtle Avenue agreed to turn down the volume after speaking to officers.

3:29 a.m.: The South San Francisco Police K-9 unit was dispatched to Brisbane to help out.

3:59 a.m.: Apparently two Pitt Bull Terriers chased a security guard at a business on Lowrie Avenue.  Officers called in the SPCA to assist.

5:57 a.m.: Those three large dogs spotted in front of the Pak-N-Sav were gone when officers arrived.

8:25 a.m.: Officers arrested a woman for DUI after her husband called to report she was driving after drinking all night.

2:27 p.m.: Officers had a talk with the guy who was jogging in the median on El Camino Real.

2:55 p.m.: Officers opened an investigation into the theft of a vehicle from Hemlock Avenue.

2:58 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to Alta Loma Park after receiving a report of an assault that occurred after an argument over a baseball game.  Officers took a report.

3:08 p.m.: The black Mustang that was spinning doughnuts at Linden and Aspen Avenues was gone when officers arrived on the scene.

Editor’s Note:  Sometimes you might find items in the police log that seem humorous but please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
