Police Still Searching For Man Who Attacked Exchange Student Near BART

The suspect grabbed the 19-year-old woman by the arm, but she was able to escape.

South San Francisco Police are still looking for a man who attacked a 19-year-old Japanese exchange student on a biking and walking trail near BART last week, they said.

The man grabbed a 19-year old Japanese exchange student by the arm. She managed to break away, and he continued to chase her until she passed another pedestrian.

The suspect has been described as possibly Hispanic or Asian, about 30 years old and between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a medium build.

He was described as clean shaven, and was wearing a white, long-sleeved hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and dark-colored pants or blue jeans at the time of the assault, police said.
