Pomona Man ID'd in I-10 Offramp Shooting

The 32-year-old had been shot "several times" when he was found in his car on the White Avenue offramp.

A man who was found fatally shot Wednesday morning in a car parked near a freeway offramp in Pomona has been identified.

Officers responded at 12:30 a.m. to a report of a shooting victim at the White Avenue offramp from the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway, said Sgt. Bert Sanchez, a Pomona Police Department watch commander.

Michael Anthony Meza, 32, of Pomona died at the scene, police said. Meza had been shot several times in the upper body, according to police.

California Highway Patrol officers who stopped to check on a vehicle parked near the offramp found the victim inside, according to Pomona police.

The offramp was closed to accommodate the investigation. Anyone with more information on the case was urged to call Pomona police at (909) 620-2095

Why do your pop ads cover the story with no way to close it without going to the pop up site?

Hi Cacheguy-- sorry for that issue. Is there any way you could let me know what sort of browser you were using-- and if it was on a phone or computer-- so I can sent a report to our technical support?
