Police Searching for Man Who Allegedly Robbed Victim at Knifepoint on Linden Avenue

The attack occurred on Saturday evening.

Officers are searching for a man who allegedly tried to rob another man in South San Francisco Saturday evening, according to police.

The suspect approached the victim while he was walking in the 800 block of Linden Avenue at about 7:50 p.m., police said.

The suspect, a dark-skinned man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, demanded the victim hand over his money, and the victim said he didn't have any, according to police.

The assailant then pulled out a pocketknife from his sweatshirt pocket and cut the victim on his hand, police said. The victim still didn't provide any money, so the suspect ran away.

The suspect is described as a 30-year-old man who is 5 feet 9 inches tall, clean-shaven, wearing a black jacket, and about 185 pounds, according to police.
