Police Search for Suspects in Home Invasion Robbery

Two men allegedly kicked down the doors of two apartments Thursday night.

South San Francisco police are looking for two men who kicked in the front doors of two separate apartment units Thursday night and pointed guns at the occupants before leaving without taking anything.

The men forced their way into an apartment in the 300 block of Commercial Avenue at about 11:50 p.m. and pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the resident, who was asleep in a bed, police said.

The suspects demanded that the resident give them "the stuff," but left soon after without taking anything.

The men then kicked in the front door of an adjacent unit and again told the family of five living there to give them "the stuff," police said. Again they left without taking anything.

Officers searched the second apartment and could not find anything illegal, according to police.

Police were not sure today what "the stuff" referred to or whether the suspects had been trying to target someone different.

The suspects were described as black men wearing all black clothing, including sunglasses and black beanies. One was described as about six feet tall with a stocky build.

Witnesses did not know what direction the men ran from the apartment.
