Three Arrested in Vandalism Spree

Teens accused of spray-painting walls at Sellick Park.

Three teens were arrested early Friday morning after a witness reported seeing a group spray painting graffiti and breaking into the maintenance room at Sellick Park, South San Francisco police said.

When officers arrived at the park at 5 Appian Way around 1:30 a.m., they found blue and green spray paint covering the walls of the maintenance supply room and restrooms.

Police spotted a trio fleeing the park and tracked them to a nearby apartment complex where they were detained and questioned, police said.

All three were arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary, felony vandalism and resisting arrest. They were later released to their parents.

Police are not releasing the names of the suspects because all are underage.

Damage to the supply room's exterior and restroom walls has been pegged at about $1,000, police said.

Every year I buy more school supplies and art supplies for the teachers and they know they canRead More always count on me for more whenever needed. I'm a strong believer in encouraging children to be creative and get rid of the barriers to the freedom of self expression.

We help by asking teachers if they need anything. They'll drop hints and we'll go and purchase theRead More products. Most, if not all, parents are willing to help their children's classes if they are able to. It's really unfair for the teachers to purchase supplies out of their own pockets.
