Police Investigate Early Morning Arson

Police believe the vehicle fire on Waverly Court may be related to a series of small fires on Callan Boulevard.

Investigators believe a vehicle fire in South San Francisco Monday morning was arson and may be linked to several other arson fires in the city, police said.

Residents reported a vehicle on fire at around 4:50 a.m. in the 10 block of Waverly Court, police said.

The vehicle appears to have been ignited by an undetermined incendiary that was thrown into the gas tank, according to police.

This morning's vehicle fire may be related to a series of small fires that occurred near the 3800 block of Callan Boulevard in South San Francisco, police said.

Police believe this morning's fire may also be related to another vehicle fire that occurred at around 4 a.m. this morning on King Drive, near Shipley Avenue, in Daly City.
