Blotter: DUI Driver Arrested and Young Thief Caught at Costco

Monday, December 26

7:42pm  A woman called police after getting into a verbal dispute with a cab driver who she claimed took her on a longer route than necessary with the meter running. The driver reportedly threatened to physically remove the woman from the cab when she threatened to call his employer.

10:23pm  Police were called to La Quinta Motor Inn, where a man reportedly caused a disturbance at the front desk over a lack of parking.

11:38pm  Officers sent a unit to Brentwood Bowl on El Camino Real to break up a reported physical altercation at the bar.

Tuesday, December 27

9:31am  Both passenger side windows of a parked silver Scion were smashed on Randolph Avenue sometime overnight.

10:44am  A backpack was reportedly stolen from a Mazda that was burglarized while parked on Gellert Boulevard.

9:56pm  Officers arrested a DUI driver on Wicklow Drive at Clay, where the 20-year old male was reportedly speeding and peeling out in the street.

Wednesday, December 28

1:23am  Police responded to La Quinta Motor Inn, where approximately 12 to 13 guests were fighting in one of the rooms.

11:11am  At Embassy Suites on Gateway Boulevard a guest reported that her camera and camera bag were stolen out of her room.

4:06pm  Security at Costco on El Camino Real detained a 13-year old who reportedly attempted to steal a $60 video game.
