Police Arrest Two Suspected Burglars in Restaurant Parking Lot

Officers conducting surveillance in the area caught the suspects as they were looking into the window of a parked car in the lot.

South San Francisco police arrested two suspects who were lurking around a restaurant parking lot equipped with burglary tools Friday night.

After a string of recent vehicle burglaries, officers were conducting surveillance in the parking lot of the restaurant, located at 180 South Airport Blvd., around 10 p.m., police said.

Officers approached Valentino Evangelista, 38, of San Francisco, and Steven Shaffer, 27, of Daly City, as they were looking into the window of a parked car in the lot.

Police found a tool commonly used for breaking into vehicles near the suspects.

Evangelista and Shaffer were arrested on suspicion of possessing burglary tools and attempting to commit a crime. Both were booked at the San Mateo County Jail.

We help by asking teachers if they need anything. They'll drop hints and we'll go and purchase theRead More products. Most, if not all, parents are willing to help their children's classes if they are able to. It's really unfair for the teachers to purchase supplies out of their own pockets.
