Police Advise Vigilance After Rash of Catalytic Converter Thefts

Toyotas appear to be the target of the thefts.

Police are advising South San Francisco residents to park their cars in garages or well-lit and traveled spots after a rash of catalytic converter thefts since Christmas Eve.

, especially trucks and SUVs, police said.

To thwart more thefts, residents are encouraged to report any suspicious people or activities to police. Also if residents know of any catalytic converter sales they are encouraged to report them to police.
