When the victim began to scream, the defendant got up and began to apologize.
At that point, the defendant returned to the front desk and the victim went to tell another maid about the incident. According to the DA, the victim did not want to tell a hotel manager about what happened because she was afraid of losing her job or being deported because she had an expired tourist visa from El Salvador.
