A man with his face covered by a red bandana snatched a woman's purse and pushed her against a car while she was walking with friends in South San Francisco Sunday evening, South San Francisco police said.
The female victim was walking with friends in the 200 block of Juniper Ave. around 6:15 p.m. when a man concealing his face with a red bandana took the woman's purse from her and then pushed her against a parked car, police said.
The suspect fled north through an apartment complex at 230 Juniper Ave. with the victim's purse, which contained the woman's passport, identification card and $400, police said.
The victim was not injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 130 pounds and wearing a black baseball hat, black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white shoes. Police say he has acne scars across his forehead.
