Loaded Guns Found After Alleged Gang Members Evade Police

The suspects ran after being spotted by officers on the 300 block of Tamarack Lane Wednesday night.

Police officers in South San Francisco have recovered two loaded guns after a group of purported gang members evaded the officers earlier this week, police said today.

Two officers spotted five suspected gang members on the 300 block of Tamarack Lane about 8:40pm Wednesday, and the group scattered as the officers approached.

According to police, the officers located two of the alleged gang members around the corner at the intersection of Lux and Maple avenues.

The men fled again as the officers approached, but this time a brief foot chase ensued, although the officers lost sight of the suspects as they darted through a house on the 400 block of Lux Avenue.

However, while retracing the suspects' steps, one of the officers located a loaded .357-caliber Magnum revolver and a loaded .38-caliber revolver, according to police.
