Fireworks on the Border

The different laws regarding fireworks were clear today crossing the border between San Bruno and South San Francisco.

Besides a green road sign that proclaims South City's population to be 65,020 people, there's usually not much to mark the border between San Bruno and South San Francisco.

But driving down El Camino Real today, the border was clear. As a mass of vendors got ready to start selling (legally) fireworks tomorrow at noon in San Bruno, a portable sign at Noor Avenue flashed "Fireworks Illegal in South S.F." as you crossed the border into South San Francisco.

that allow people to set off their own fireworks. As the sign indicates, they're illegal in South City.

Every year I buy more school supplies and art supplies for the teachers and they know they canRead More always count on me for more whenever needed. I'm a strong believer in encouraging children to be creative and get rid of the barriers to the freedom of self expression.

We help by asking teachers if they need anything. They'll drop hints and we'll go and purchase theRead More products. Most, if not all, parents are willing to help their children's classes if they are able to. It's really unfair for the teachers to purchase supplies out of their own pockets.
